Clay has a way of slowing me down and inviting discovery.
I am drawn to pottery that is meant to be lived with — pieces that feel good in the hand, serve a purpose, and carry a sense of personality and craftsmanship. Working in clay allows me to balance structure with spontaneity as I explore texture, form, and natural glaze combinations that often reveal their own surprises through the firing process.
While functionality remains central to my work, I also enjoy creating pieces that bring delight and curiosity — whether through organic forms, sculptural elements, or playful character-inspired designs. I believe pottery should not only be admired, but used, enjoyed, and woven into everyday life.
As both an artist and instructor, I value the connection clay creates between maker and community. Each piece carries evidence of the hands that shaped it and the journey it took through fire, becoming something both practical and meaningful.
